UX Consulting:
Nonprofits & Mission-Driven Companies
It is my goal to bridge the gap between the UX and nonprofit worlds.
Since February 2021, I have been a freelance UX consultant for major nonprofits that are interested in innovation.
My intent is to help emphasize the need to stay up-to-date with today’s growing culture of user-centered design to global nonprofit leaders.
It is my passionate belief that the nonprofit and mission-driven world needs UX support more than anyone as they have the power to change the Earth and the people within it. Those people have unique lived experiences, and only UX can fully help support their needs.
Here is an excerpt from my June 23, 2021 30 minute presentation to UNHCR. The purpose of the presentation was to both introduce and relate UX to global fundraising. The end goal is to help employees at traditional, scaled nonprofits to accept and slowly start implementing user-centered design and research principles into their practice.

It has been an honor to work with such inspiring leaders of innovation in the nonprofit sector at some of the world’s most prominent NGOs. It is my humble aspiration that my presentations, brainstorming, and one-on-one collaboration will help provide some guidance as each of these nonprofits consider shifting to more user-centered processes.
If they are reading this, I would like to share my deep gratitude for the wisdom, mentorship, and open-mindedness of the handful of fundraising innovation leaders at UNICEF and UNHCR in particular. Specifically, Juan Cruz Mones Cazon, UNICEF’s Global Head of Innovation; Diana Ruano Ortiz, UNHCR’s Global Individual Giving Leader, and countless others. Thank you all for sharing your time, knowledge, and passion with me.
